Privacy Policy
Last updated
This policy explains what Teknoesis does with the details you give us on www.teknoesis.com, by WhatsApp or by email, and with the technical data that comes with a visit. In short: we use them to reply to you and to work with you, we don't sell them, and you can ask us to delete them.
1. Who we are
Teknoesis is a sole proprietorship based at Street No. 12A Main Bazar, Ittehad Park, Sitara Colony, Lahore 54762, Pakistan. We decide how the personal data described here is used, so we are the “controller” (in US state law terms, the “business”). We have not appointed a data protection officer: write to info@teknoesis.com for anything about your data. Our services are for businesses and adults, and our advertising is aimed at the United States.
2. What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, your phone or WhatsApp number if you give it, the service you pick, your message, and the page of this site you sent it from.
- Where you came from: if you arrive from an ad or a tagged link, we keep the campaign tags in the address (such as utm_source, utm_campaign, utm_content), any ad click id (fbclid, gclid), the site you came from, the page you landed on, your browser type and your country, and store them with your enquiry.
- WhatsApp: if you message us on +92 302 5695424, we see your WhatsApp name, number and messages. WhatsApp is run by Meta under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Email: the messages you send us and your email address.
- Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider processes your IP address and basic request details (browser, time, page) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
The contact form also includes two anti-spam checks: a hidden field that people never fill in, and the time the form was opened. They aren't used for anything else.
Please don't put sensitive information in a form, a WhatsApp message or an email: health or medical details, government ids, bank or card numbers, or passwords. We never need them, and we never ask for your passwords. If a service needs access to your accounts, such as Google Search Console, we ask for read-only access that you can remove at any time.
3. Categories of personal information (notice at collection)
In the last 12 months we have collected, or are collecting from the day this policy is dated, the following categories. This is the notice at collection that some US state laws ask for.
| Category | Examples | Where it comes from | Who receives it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers and contact details | Name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number | You | Our hosting, CRM and email providers |
| Business and enquiry information | Website address, service of interest, monthly marketing spend band, your message | You | Our CRM and email providers |
| Internet and device information | Campaign tags and click ids, the page and referring site, browser type, country, cookie ids, pages viewed | Your browser and the link you followed | Our hosting and CRM providers, Google |
| Communications | Emails and WhatsApp messages between you and us | You and us | Our email and CRM providers; Meta for WhatsApp |
We collect this to reply to you, work with you and measure what works on this site (see How we use it). We do not collect sensitive personal information on purpose, and we do not sell personal information.
4. Where your form details go
When you press Send message, your details are sent from our server to one or both of these:
- BrokLeads, the CRM that we build and operate (see BrokLeads). Your enquiry is stored there as a lead so we can reply and follow up.
- Email via Resend, an email delivery service. Your enquiry is emailed to our inbox, so it still reaches us if the CRM has a problem.
If neither is available, nothing is sent or stored, and the form tells you to contact us by WhatsApp or email instead.
5. How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project
- To prepare a scope, an estimate or a contract if you ask for one
- To keep a record of our conversations while we work together
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
- To keep the site working and secure, and to prevent spam and abuse
- To measure which pages and links bring people here and which do not
6. Our reasons for using it (legal bases)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the law asks us to name the reason for each use:
- To answer your request and take steps you ask for before a contract: your contact details and message.
- Our legitimate interests in running a business and keeping this site secure and free of spam, and in keeping records of our conversations. We weigh these against your rights, and you can object to them.
- Your consent for cookies and measurement tools in those regions. You can withdraw it at any time with Your Privacy Choices, and that does not affect what happened before.
- A legal obligation, such as keeping tax and accounting records.
7. Who else processes it
We don't sell, rent or trade your personal data. We use these service providers to run the site and reply to you:
- Vercel, which hosts this website
- Laravel Cloud, which hosts the BrokLeads API and the PostgreSQL database where leads are stored
- Resend, for delivering form emails
- Meta, which runs WhatsApp
- Google, for Google Analytics (see Cookies)
Some of these providers process data outside Pakistan, under their own security and privacy terms.
8. Cookies
These are the cookies this site sets. You can block or delete cookies in your browser without breaking the site.
- tk_attr (30 days, ours): remembers the campaign tags from the link you arrived on, so they can be stored with your enquiry. Set only when your link carries such tags, and not set if you opted out, if your browser sends Global Privacy Control, or (in the EEA, UK and Switzerland) before you say yes. The tags still travel with the form you send.
- tk_region (1 day, ours): your country, from your connection, so we know whether to ask before using analytics.
- ad_opt_out and ad_consent (1 year, ours): remember your choice about analytics.
- _ga and _ga_ cookies (up to 2 years, Google): set by Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people use. Not set if you opted out, if Global Privacy Control is on, or (in the EEA, UK and Switzerland) before you say yes. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off. When you send a form we record that a form was sent and which service was chosen, never your name, email, phone number or message.
9. Your US privacy choices
If you live in a US state with a privacy law (such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas or Virginia), you can ask us to: tell you what personal data we hold about you and send you a copy; correct it; delete it; and stop contacting you. We will not treat you worse for using these rights.
To opt out of analytics on this browser, use Your Privacy Choicesin the footer of any page. We also honour Global Privacy Control as an opt-out, on this browser and on the device that sends it. We do not respond to a bare “Do Not Track” setting.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. We apply these choices to every US visitor, wherever they live.
- How to ask: email info@teknoesis.com from the address you used with us, and say what you want. We may ask you to confirm a detail we already hold so that we do not give your data to someone else.
- On someone's behalf: an authorised agent can ask for you if they send us your written permission, and we may check it with you.
- How long we take: we aim to answer within 30 days, and always within 45. If a request is complex we may take up to 45 more days, and we will tell you why before the first 45 are up.
- If we say no:we will explain why. You can appeal by replying with the word “appeal”, and we will answer your appeal within 45 days. If you are still not satisfied you can contact your state attorney general.
10. Where your data is processed
Teknoesis is run from Pakistan, so your enquiry is handled there. Our providers process data on servers in other countries, including the United States: Vercel (hosting), Laravel Cloud (BrokLeads), Resend (email), Google (analytics). By sending an enquiry from outside Pakistan you accept that transfer. Where the law requires a safeguard for sending personal data abroad, we rely on the standard contractual clauses or equivalent terms that these providers offer in their own agreements.
11. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to two years, so we can pick up a conversation where it left off. If we work together, we keep project records for as long as the contract and the law require. The campaign tags stored with an enquiry are kept as long as the enquiry. We do not keep a separate log of what was sent to Meta; our server logs record only that a send failed, never who it was about. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner at any time.
12. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, form details travel from our server to BrokLeads or Resend over encrypted connections, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep what we collect to the minimum. If we learn of a security incident that affects your personal data, we will tell you and any authority as the law requires.
13. Your rights everywhere else
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and send you a copy;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete your data;
- stop contacting you;
- stop using your data for a purpose that rests on our legitimate interests, or restrict how we use it;
- give you your data in a form you can move (where the law gives you that right).
Email info@teknoesis.com. We aim to reply within 30 days, and always within the time your local law allows. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you can also complain to your data protection authority. We would like the chance to fix the problem first.
14. Children
This site is for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and we delete it if we find we have.
15. Other websites
This site links to a few other websites, such as brokleads.com and WhatsApp. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.
16. Changes to this policy
When we change how we handle personal data, we update this page and the date at the top. For a change that affects you in a significant way, such as a new kind of sharing, we also say so at the top of this page for 30 days. Older versions are available if you email us.
